ABOUT GLENAYRE | PORT MOODY, BC

Glenayre is a small, well-established, Port Moody neighbourhood that borders Coquitlam and Burnaby Mountain. This quiet neighbourhood is very niche with only single-family residences. Port Moody’s Glenayre neighbourhood has a wonderful community centre, parks and school. Glenayre Community Centre is one of six Port Moody recreation facilities, it’s primarily used for youth and children recreation programs and for private events and weddings. Located next to Glenayre Community Centre is Art Wilkinson Park, the Port Moody park features tennis courts, a basketball court, playground and a little library. This small neighbourhood is home to École Glenayre Elementary, this public school provides programs in both English and Early French Immersion for children grades kindergarten to grade five.

Glenayre is centrally located near shopping plaza’s, Burquitlam Skytrain station, and only an 8-minute drive to Simon Fraser University. Residents can enjoy easy access to Barnet Highway, Highway 1, and Lougheed Highway to get you in and around metro Vancouver.

GLENAYRE ACTIVITIES

Residents of Port Moody’s Glenayre neighbourhood live within walking distance to Art Wilkinson Park and Glenayre Community Centre, which offer great outdoor and indoor activities for all ages. Also within close proximity is a myriad of coffee shops, restaurants and fitness facilities along St Johns Street. Residents are less than 10 minutes away from Shoreline Trail and Rocky Point Park. Rocky Point Park is home to the following events and festivals: Penguin Plunge (New Year’s Day), Golden Spike Days, Canada Day, Summer Concert Series and RibFest.

GLENAYRE TRANSIT

There are multiple bus stops along Glenayre Drive and Clarke Road. The nearest Skytrain station is Burquitlam Station which is an approximate 5-minute drive from this Port Moody Neighbourhood. Burquitlam Station is part of the Millenium Line and Evergreen Extension. This station is considered a transfer hub which can connect you to Coquitlam or Lougheed Town Centre Station which then connects to the Expo Line with service to Surrey, New Westminster, Burnaby and Vancouver.
