Smiling Creek Elementary School is a new school located in the Smiling Creek neighbourhood of Burke Mountain, Coquitlam.
The new state of the art 3,700-square-metre two-story school provides over 520 student spaces in 23 divisions. Students, families and community members of Burke Mountain will benefit from this new school due to its multi-use model – school, joint-use field, and park.
Construction began for the new school in the summer of 2016 with the new school opening September, 2018.
